Deleting a firmware is possible only if there are no entities associated with the firmware like machines, variables, translations. If other entities are associated the quickest way is to archive the firmware. The end result is similar to deleting firmware. It will be marked as archived and not shown anymore in the firmwares page. It won't be possible to associated it to a machine
